, Aug. 4 -- A tribunal in Dhaka on Tuesday sentenced six people to imprisonment until death in a case filed over the gang rape of two young girls in South Keraniganj in 2022.

Judge of the Dhaka Woman and Child Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Court-4 Munshi Md Mashier Rahman handed down the judgment.

The court also fined them Tk one lakh each.

The convicts are-Rahul, Md Daimon, Afsar Uddin Anim, Pervez Haque Palash, Minhaz alias Minhaz Abedin and Minhaz alias Babu alias Minhaz Babu.

The court issued arrest warrant against Rahul as he remained absconding since the trial proceedings.
