Dhaka, Sept. 6 -- A furniture warehouse caught fire at Satarakul in the city's Badda area on Sunday morning.

The fire erupted around 8:55am at the warehouse, said Md Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector (Media Cell) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters.

On information, two units from the Baridhara Fire Station rushed to the spot and began efforts to douse the blaze, he said, adding that Two more units from the Purbachal Fire Station were also dispatched to the scene.

The fire was brought under control around 9:58am before the Purbachal units reached the spot, Anwarul Islam said.

The two Purbachal units later returned from the midway as their assistance was no longer required.
