Dhaka, May 7 -- The Alliance Francaise de Dhaka and the Goethe-Institut Dhaka have entered into a partnership in Bangladesh to promote shared European fundamental values through strategic and structural cooperation, as well as coordinated public initiatives and events in the country.

Alliance Francaise de Dhaka Director Francois Chambraud and Goethe-Institut Bangladesh Director Frank Werner signed an MoU in this regard on Wednesday, ahead of Europe Day, which will be celebrated on May 9.

The Ambassador of France, Jean-Marc Sere-Charlet, and the Ambassador of Germany, Dr. Rudiger Lotz, witnessed the signing ceremony, said the French Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday.

The Franco-German relationship remains a core driver of Europe.
