Dhaka, Feb. 8 -- Stating that the country's development is incomplete without women's empowerment, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman's wife Dr Zubaida Rahman on Sunday promised that free education for girls will be extended up to the honours level if the BNP is voted to power.
"Women make up 51% of Bangladesh's population, so their participation is essential in nation-building," she said while speaking at a meeting with women representatives from Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara societies at Gulshan Lake Park.
