, Oct. 13 -- Police recovered the bodies of five people from separate places in Manikganj district between Monday morning and noon.

The deaths were reported from Manikganj Sadar, Ghior, Singair, and Saturia upazilas, police said.

In Manikganj Sadar upazila, police recovered the hanging body of Abu Hanif, 28, from a rented house in the West Dashra area of Manikganj town around noon.

Hanif, hailing from Chauddagram upazila in Cumilla, was found dead after police, acting on a call from his ex-wife, broke into the room with the help of locals, said Aminul Islam, OC (Investigation) of Manikganj Sadar Police Station.

His body was sent to the Manikganj Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy and legal proceedings are underway, added the ...
