Dhaka, Sept. 10 -- A fire that broke out at an Apex footwear showroom in the capital's Dhanmondi area on Thursday morning was brought under control around noon.

The Fire Service received information about the fire at around 10:05am and reached the spot at 10:15am, said Talha Bin Zashim, station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (media cell).

Four units from Mohammadpur Fire Station were initially working to bring the blaze under control, while two more units were on their way to the scene.

The fire was brought under control at around 12:00pm, he said.
