Dhaka, May 19 -- ever "Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) Conference 2026" will be held in the capital on Wednesday, aimed at ensuring maximum transparency, corporate governance, and accountability in the financial sectors.

The day-long event is being jointly organised by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB).

The theme for the debut edition of the conference has been set as: "Credible Financial Reporting: Where the Real Value Lies."

Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
