, Sept. 1 -- A tribunal in Dhaka on Monday convicted a man and sentenced him to life imprisonment until death for violating her own daughter in 2018.

Judge of the Dhaka Woman and Child Repression Tribunal-4, Munshi Md Mashier Rahman handed down the punishment.

The convict Md Rubel was also fined Tk one lakh.

The court also asked to sell all the property in the name of the convict and provide the sale proceeds to the girl.

According to the prosecution, Rubel violated his 14-year-old girl when she was sleeping in her room in a rented house in Keraniganj on October 18, 2018.

On October 21, grandmother of the girl filed a case with Keraniganj Model Police Station.

On January 31, 2019, police submitted chargesheet against Rubel.
