MAGURA, July 11 -- A shopkeeper and his elderly father were critically injured after being hacked by miscreants over a dispute regarding parking a motorcycle near their shop at Amtoli Bazar in Sreepur upazila on Friday.

The victims were identified as Habib Sheikh, 26, a grocery shop owner, and his father, Kabir Sheikh, 70. Both residents of Amtoil village.

According to locals, the trouble began on Friday afternoon when Hasib Biswas and Raju Biswas, from the same village, parked their two motorcycles near Habib Sheikh's grocery shop at Amtoil Bazar.

Around 5pm, when Habib arrived to open his shop, he asked them to move the motorcycles from the shopfront, which led to a heated altercation between the parties.
