Dhaka, May 13 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police has arrested a former salesman in connection with the theft of a large quantity of gold from a jewellery firm at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in the capital over several years.

The arrestee was identified as Krishna Basak, also known as Swapan Basak, 47, son of Gaur Chandra Basak of Daulatpur in Manikganj.
