Dhaka, Sept. 16 -- Detectives have arrested 12 leaders and activists of Awami League and its associate organisations including former mayor of Gafargaon municipality in Mymensingh in separate drives in Dhaka.

They were arrested from different areas including Mirpur, Uttara, Lalbagh, Gulshan, Wari, Motijheel, Cantonment, Darussalam and Demra areas, said Detective Branch (DB) sources on Tuesday.
