Dhaka, May 3 -- Although asthma is a lifelong disease, experts said it can be effectively controlled through proper and regular treatment, with inhaler therapy being the primary form of treatment.

Speakers highlighted these issues at a scientific seminar organized by the Respiratory Medicine Department of Evercare Hospital Dhaka on Sunday, marking World Asthma Day 2026. This year's theme for World Asthma Day 2026 (May 5) is "Access to anti-inflammatory inhalers for everyone with asthma - still an urgent need".
