Dhaka, July 28 -- Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin on Tuesday said the Election Commission (EC) is fully prepared to conduct the presidential election.

"We are prepared to conduct the presidential election," the CEC told reporters after a meeting with Acting Speaker Kayser Kamal at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

The Election Commission led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin sat in a meeting with the acting Speaker in the morning ahead of the announcement of schedule for the presidential election.

The meeting began at 11am at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

Election commissioners Abdur Rahmanel Masud, Tahmida Ahmad and Md Anwarul Islam Sarker and EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed also joined the meeting.
