Dhaka, Aug. 13 -- bail bond system has been introduced in 12 more districts to reduce hassles in the bail process, bringing the total number of districts where the digital system is operational to 28.

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman inaugurated the system in the new districts at a programme held at the conference room of the Law Ministry at the Secretariat on Thursday.

According to the ministry, the e-bail bond system had earlier been introduced in 16 districts in three phases. Following the success of the system in those districts, the digital service was launched simultaneously in 12 more districts in the fourth phase.
