Dhaka, July 31 -- The Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) has demanded withdrawal of punitive measures against 10 teachers, taken by the university's last two syndicate meetings held on 22 June and 28 July.

The demand informed on Thursday thorough a notification signed by the president of the association Prof. Dr. Md. Nizamul Hoque Buiyan and the general secretary Prof. Dr. Zeenat Huda.

Alongside, the association urged to restoring the congenial environment of education through building a safe, orderly and merit-based campus.
