Dhaka, Sept. 13 -- The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has realised Tk 1,77,500 in fines from 28 cases after Aedes mosquito larvae were found in several households across various areas under its jurisdiction.

DNCC executive magistrates conducted mobile court drives in different areas on Sunday as part of a three-month-long mosquito eradication programme, imposing the fines after detecting Aedes larvae on the premises of various homes.

The cases were filed in Mirpur-10, Rupnagar, Uttar Pallabi, Agargaon, Uttara Nikunjo and Baridhara areas , DNCC said.
