Dhaka, June 28 -- The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Sunday said information, photos and videos circulating on various social media platforms claiming that multiple bodies had been recovered from the Turag River are baseless and misleading.

Briefing' reporters at the DMP Media Centre on Minto Road in the afternoon, DMP Joint Commissioner (Crime and Operations) Faruk Hossain said the police had thoroughly examined the matter and found no truth to the claims.

He said no reports of any series of body recoveries, murders or any related incidents had been found in the Turag Police Station area. Even no complaint, General Diary (GD) or case has been filed with the police by any person found no evidence supporting the information circulate...
