, April 7 -- The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Department imposed fines totaling Tk 78,000 on 11 shops during an operation in Gulshan-2, Kakoli, and Banani areas of Dhaka on Tuesday.
Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP's Media and Public Relations Department, N M Nasiruddin, confirmed the information.
According to DMP Traffic sources, the day-long operation also covered Chairman Bari and Amtoli Road, where footpath and roadside violations were addressed. Legal action was taken against the offenders, though no arrests were made.

Authorities said such eviction drives will continue to ensure smooth public movement and maintain discipline on the roads.
