Dhaka, Sept. 14 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Monday directed all police personnel to properly discharge their assigned responsibilities to prevent crime and maintain law and order in the capital city.

The DMP's top officer gave the instructions at the monthly crime review meeting for August 2026 held at the DMP Headquarters conference room on Monday.

The commissioner directed the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit, Detective Branch (DB) and police stations to work in coordination to prevent crime.

He also instructed police to divide areas for duty coverage so that no security gap or shortage of deployment exists in any area.
