, Aug. 27 -- The Dhaka WASA Jatiyatabadi Employees Union-CBA on Thursday staged a protest and sit-in, alleging that the death of an employee, Shahriya Khan Shamim, was caused by negligence on the part of the authorities.

The programme was held around noon at the Dhaka WASA headquarters and was chaired by Md Azizul Alam Khan, president of the Dhaka WASA Jatiyatabadi Employees Union-CBA.

Deputy Managing Director (Human Resources and Administration) A K A M Fazlul Haque, Deputy Managing Director (O&M) Mirza Golam Kibria and Chief Engineer Alamgir Hasin Ahmed were present at the programme.
