Dhaka's air quality turns 'unhealthy'
Dhaka, Sept. 14 -- The air quality in Dhaka turned 'unhealthy' on Monday morning, compared with Sunday's 'unhealthy for sensitive groups' level.
Dhaka ranked 6th on the list of cities with the worst air quality in the world this morning, recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) score of 160 at 8:35 am.
The air quality was classified as 'unhealthy', meaning the concentration of pollutants in the air had reached a level that could pose health risks to the general population, according to the AQI scale.
Singapore topped the list with an AQI score of 169, followed by Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur with 167 and Indonesia's Jakarta with 165.
