Dhaka, Aug. 12 -- Dhaka ranked 34th among the world's cities with the worst air quality on Wednesday morning, recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) score of 71 at 9:35 am.

According to the AQI scale, the capital's air quality was classified as 'Moderate', indicating that it generally poses little or no risk to the general population, though unusually sensitive individuals may experience some health concerns.

Malaysia's Kuching topped the global pollution list with an AQI score of 223, followed by Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo with 179 and Baghdad in Iraq with 176.
