, Aug. 21 -- A woman died of dengue and 11 new patients were admitted to hospitals with dengue symptoms in Faridpur district in the 24 hours till Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Nasrin Sultana, 30, of Chowdhurykanda area in Bhanga upazila.

Nasrin Sultana, a mother of two sons, was admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital on August 18 after developing dengue symptoms.

She died around 1:00am on Friday while undergoing treatment, said Faridpur Civil Surgeon Dr Mahmudul Hasan.

He said 163 people were treated for dengue at government hospitals during the period, while 25 patients are currently receiving treatment.
