Chapainawabganj, Sept. 30 -- three more dengue patients were admitted to Chapainawabganj 250-bed District Hospital in the past 24 hours till Wednesday morning while a woman and a child died at the hospital.

The deceased were Ferdousi Khatun, 30, wife of Ariful Islam of Shibtala Chandlai area in the district town, and Mahabbat Ali, 13, son of Monirul Islam of Arambagh area.

The hospital authorities said the woman had tested positive for dengue, while the old boy had not undergone a dengue test, although he had several symptoms of the disease.

The two died between around 4:00am and 4:30am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
