, Oct. 20 -- A Dhaka court on Monday asked police to investigate further in the revision case filed over the death of actor Salman Shah in 1996.

Judge of Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Session Judge Court-6, Md Zannatul Ferdous Ibn Haque passed the order after accepting the revision case.

It also asked the officer-in-charge of Ramna Police Station to find out whether the actor Salman was killed for it was a suicidal case.

The court also asked to lodge the case into murder case and conduct an investigation.

On October 13, a court fixed October 20 for hearing the revision petition filed over the case.

On September 6, 1996, actor Mohammad Shahriar (Emon) alias Salman Shah was found dead at his Eskaton House.
