Dhaka, Oct. 9 -- The Council of Advisers at a meeting on Thursday approved in-principle the drafts of 11 ordinances and three proposals.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus presided over the meeting held at his office.

The approved draft ordinances include the National Data Governance Ordinance, 2025, the Personal Data Protection Ordinance, 2025, the Deposit Protection Ordinance, 2025, the Mymensingh Unnayan Kartripakkha Ordinance, 2025, the Barishal Unnayan Kartripakkha Ordinance, 2025, and the Rangpur Unnayan Kartripakkha Ordinance, 2025.

The Council also approved drafts of the Customs Act, 2023 (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025, the Value Added Tax and Supplementary Duty Act, 2012 (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2025, the Income Tax Act,...
