Bagerhat, Sept. 17 -- Leaders and activists of the All-Party United Committee on Wednesday morning laid a siege to the Bagerhat election office, demanding the retention of four parliamentary seats in the upcoming national election.

Processions from various areas began arriving around 9 am, converging outside the District Election Officer's office, where protesters blocked the main gate, preventing officials and staff from entering.

According to the schedule, the demonstrators will continue their siege of the election office until 1 pm.
