Dhaka, March 17 -- Bangladesh and the United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD) have observed that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East created major risks to the global economy.
UNCTAD Secretary-General Rebeca Grynspan called on Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman at the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations in New York on Monday (NY Time).
During the meeting, they discussed the current global economic situation against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
They urged all relevant parties to avoid further escalation and urgently seek diplomatic solution, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
