Dhaka, Oct. 17 -- The National Consensus Commission (NCC) has amended the fifth clause of the July Charter-2025 to accommodate key demands placed by the July heroes, said the commission's Vice President Prof. Ali Riaz on Friday.

Speaking to the demonstrators at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, Riaz said that the amendment followed discussions with the July heroes and consultations with political parties.

"Through this correction, the legitimate demands of the July heroes have been incorporated into the charter," he asserted.
