Lalmonirhat, Aug. 21 -- A case has been filed against a clinic director for allegedly raping a schoolgirl in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat.

The victim's mother filed the case with Kaliganj Police Station on Friday morning against Yusuf Ali, 45, son of the late Ashmat Ali of Kanchanshwar Kana Bazar area under Tushbhandar union.

Yusuf is the director of Rangpur New Rupsi Bangla Clinic.

According to the case statement and local residents, Yusuf became acquainted with the family of a garment worker after treating the family members at his clinic. The garment worker lives in Dhaka for work, while his wife and children stay at their home in the area.
