Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister's office at the Secretariat around 11am, said Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.

He said the Chinese envoy congratulated the Prime Minister on his assumption of office and presented him with a bouquet.

BNP Joint Secretary General and Prime Minister's Adviser Humayun Kabir was also present at the meeting.

Later, the Prime Minister presided over a meeting on the launch of the Farmers' Card at the Cabinet Division conference room.
