Dhaka, July 30 -- The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Thursday approved the procurement of one spot LNG cargo and 30,000 metric tonnes of urea fertiliser involving Tk 1,082.06 crore.

The approvals were given at a meeting of the committee with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Chowdhury in the chair following proposals from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division and the Ministry of Industries.

CCGP approves three procurement proposals

Under the first proposal, the committee approved the purchase of one LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) cargo for the delivery window of August 15-16, 2026.Singapore-based Vitol Asia Pte Ltd emerged as the recommended supplier by offering the lowest evaluated price of US$22.35 per MMBtu.
