BRUR expels 11, including 3 teachers, over Shaheed Abu Sayed killing
Rangpur, Oct. 1 -- Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) has permanently expelled 11 individuals, including three faculty members and eight officials and staff, over their involvement in the killing of student Abu Sayed during the 2024 Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The punitive measure was approved during the 123rd meeting of the BRUR Syndicate, the university's highest policy-making body, on Wednesday night,Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali confirmed on Thursday afternoon.
