Satkhira, Sept. 19 -- Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Chairman Abu Momtaz Saad Uddin Ahmed on Friday said he does not want to see any road accidents that claim lives of people and leave family members helpless.
"We do not want to see any road accidents. We want to restore discipline on the roads and we are working to prevent accidents. For this, everyone's cooperation is needed," he said.
The BRTA chairman made the remarks while addressing a cheque distribution event in Satkhira for families affected by road accidents.
He informed that the BRTA Trustee Board has distributed Tk 74 crore in compensation cheques among families of road accident victims across the country since 2022.
