Dhaka, Oct. 28 -- The Advisors Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP) on Tuesday gave approval of two procurement proposals under the project titled "Modernisation and Capacity Enhancement of BREB's Electric Distribution System (Dhaka-Mymensingh Division) (Special Revised)".

The project is being implemented by the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) under the Power Division.

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed virtually chaired the meeting that took place at the Secretariat.

According to official sources, the first proposal involves the procurement of SPC (Spun Pre-stressed Concrete) poles. The Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory Ltd. (BMTF), located in Joydebpur, Gazipur, has been recommended as the successful bidder....
