Dhaka, Aug. 9 -- BNP Chairman's Adviser Advocate Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal paid a courtesy call on Acting President Major Hafiz Uddin Ahmed on Sunday.

Alal's younger son, Syed Arafat Abdullah (Antor), accompanied him during the meeting at the Acting President's office.

They exchanged greetings and pleasantries and briefly discussed the country's overall political situation and current affairs.

Alal's son confirmed the matter.
