, Sept. 10 -- Leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami were seen gathering side by side at Shahbagh intersection late Tuesday night following the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) and hall unions election.
The DUCSU polls, held for the first time in six years, have attracted close attention from major political parties. The student union has historically served as a platform for future national leaders, giving the election wider political significance.
