Dhaka, Aug. 10 -- level BNP delegation held a meeting with a delegation of the Washington-based International Republican Institute (IRI) on Sunday to discuss Bangladesh's democratic progress and future cooperation.

The meeting was held at the BNP's Gulshan office in the capital.

The discussions focused on IRI's ongoing activities and future plans aimed at further consolidating and strengthening Bangladesh's democratic journey.

The participants exchanged views on ways to advance the country's democratic process, strengthen democratic institutions and ensure greater public participation.

They also discussed potential areas of future cooperation, experience-sharing and joint initiatives in various fields of democratic development.
