Feni, July 10 -- Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized Indian sarees, mobile phone displays and a Bangladeshi CNG-run auto-rickshaw worth an estimated Tk 1.57 crore during a special operation in a border area of Feni's Parshuram upazila on Friday.

The operation was conducted by the Feni Battalion (4 BGB) following a tip-off, according to a press release issued by Lieutenant Colonel M M Zillur Rahman, commanding officer of Feni Battalion (4 BGB).

BGB recovers 2kg crystal meth, G3 rifle in Teknaf

The seized goods have an estimated market value of Tk 1 crore 56 lakh 69 thousand.

The confiscated items are being handed over to the local customs authorities for further legal proceedings, the release said.
