, Sept. 13 -- The Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) has hosted a pre-departure reception for eight students of the National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research (NITER) selected for a technical training programme in China.

The reception was held at the BCCCI office in Gulshan on Saturday, ahead of the students' departure for Zhejiang Agricultural Business College in China, said a press release issued on Sunday.

Commerce Secretary Md Ataur Rahman Khan, ndc, attended the programme as the chief guest.

He also praised the initiative taken by BCCCI President Mohd Khorshed Alam to develop skilled manpower for Bangladesh's textile sector.
