Dhaka, Sept. 22 -- Bangladesh Bank Governor Md. Mostaqur Rahman on Tuesday called for greater Indian investment in Bangladesh's technology-driven, export-oriented and manufacturing sectors.

He made the call when Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi paid a courtesy call on the Governor at the central bank's head office in the capital.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on further strengthening bilateral economic, trade, and financial relations between Bangladesh and India.

To improve the trade balance between the two neighboring nations, the Governor urged India to import more goods from Bangladesh.
