Barishal, Aug. 27 -- Academic activities at Barishal Nursing College remained halted for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday as students staged demonstrations for the dismissal of three teachers for their alleged involvement in attacking students.

The students gathered in front of the academic building around 10am, covering their eyes and faces with black clothes to symbolise their protests.

They called for the immediate removal of the three teachers -- Ali Azgar, Said Hossain Roni, and Farida Begum -- and the withdrawal of the existing class schedule.

They urged the administration to issue a new timetable based on student opinions.
