Dhaka, July 12 -- Despite the recent incident involving Prime Minister's Adviser Dr Zahed Ur Rahman in New Delhi, Bangladesh, the current chair of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), will participate in the BIMSTEC National Security Advisers' meeting scheduled to be held in India.

Prime Minister's Defence Adviser Brig. Gen. (Retd.) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam will represent Bangladesh at the meeting, and his participation has already been communicated to the Indian government through diplomatic channels, a diplomatic source told UNB.
