Bangladesh sees 45.6% remittance growth in first 11 days of Aug
Dhaka, Aug. 12 -- Bangladesh received US$1.38 billion in remittances during the first 11 days of August 2026, registering a robust 45.6 percent growth compared to $954 million received during the same period of the previous year.
According to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank, Bangladeshi expatriates remitted $127 million on August 11 alone.
Cumulative remittance inflows from July 1 to August 11, 2026, in the fiscal year 2026-27 reached $4.24 billion, reflecting a 23.8 percent growth from $3.43 billion received during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
Meanwhile, as of August 10, 2026, the country's gross foreign exchange reserves stood at $36.96 billion.
