Dhaka, Sept. 13 -- The Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) and the election scheduled for September 17, 2026, aimed at forming the Managing Board of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), have been postponed.

Concurrently, the three-member Election Commission formed to conduct this election has also been dissolved.

This decision was announced on Thursday through two separate notices signed by the Chairman of the Society, Barrister Md. Abdus Salam, said the BDRCS in a media release on Sunday.
