, Oct. 13 -- Bangladesh received US$1.18 billion in inward remittances in 12 days of October.

According to the Bangladesh Bank's latest remittance update, the expatriates sent $1.18 billion as remittance from 1-12 October. This flow of remittances saw a growth of 18.9 percent in 12 days of October compared with the similar period of October in the previous year (2024).

Bangladesh so far received $8.78 billion in remittances in the current fiscal year, FY2025-26, from July to October 12. In the previous year, this volume of remittance was $7.53 billion.
