Dhaka, Oct. 9 -- World Egg Day 2026 is being observed in Bangladesh, as elsewhere across the globe, on Friday to raise awareness about the nutritional benefits of eggs.

The international theme for 2026 is "Protein That Powers and Protects," highlighting the role of high-quality protein in eggs in supporting muscle growth, brain development, immune function and healthy ageing.

Marking the day, the Department of Livestock Services and the Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council have jointly undertaken initiatives to raise awareness about the nutritional value of eggs.
