Dhaka, Sept. 30 -- Digital transactions through the universal Bangla QR system have surged sharply over the past 90 days, with average daily transaction value rising from around Tk 28 crore in June to Tk 143.54 crore currently, Bangladesh Bank said Wednesday.

The number of daily transactions has also increased 3.5 times during the period, from around 100,000 in June to nearly 350,000 now.

Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan disclosed the performance metrics during a press briefing at the central bank headquarters on Wednesday.

Senior officials from the Payment Systems Department jointed the briefing.
