Kurigram, April 11 -- An autorickshaw driver was killed and at least four others were injured when a tractor rammed into a CNG autorickshaw in Ulipur upazila of Kurigram on Saturday.

The accident occurred around 12.00 noon on the Chilmari-Kurigram road near Ulipur Central Bus Terminal. The deceased was identified as Nur Amin, 40, the driver of the autorickshaw.

The injured are passengers Ruhul Amin, Shiuli Begum, Taki Ahmed and Naru Barman. Among them, Shiuli Begum was sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

Witnesses said the autorickshaw was heading towards Ulipur town when a tractor coming from the opposite direction hit the vehicle, killing driver Nur Amin on the spot.
