Faridpur, Oct. 19 -- 3 and ex-FBCCI president A.K. Azad faced an attack during a public rally on Sunday, when local Jubo Dal activists protested and allegedly vandalized two vehicles in his motorcade.
The incident occurred around 4:30 PM at Pormanandpur Bazar in Krishna Nagar Union, Faridpur Sadar, where Azad had gathered for a public meeting after performing afternoon prayers at a nearby mosque.
Eyewitnesses said a procession led by Lutfur Rahman, former joint secretary of Sadar Upazila Jubo Dal, and Nannu Molla, Krishna Nagar Union Jubo Dal president, approached the rally and began chanting slogans, calling Azad an "ally of the Awami League."
